AESA is designed to test the learning goals of an applied econometrics course that follows an introductory course in probability and statistics. It is composed of 24 multiple-choice questions about linear regression models and more advanced methods including binary outcome models, instrumental variables, and fixed effects. AESA-Core includes the subset of questions that assess students' facility with linear regression models. AESA has been piloted inside and outside Cornell.
